December again

I suppose I should be in the Christmas spirit, but it has been years.  I just can't get used to all the commercialism.  I mean they had Christmas stuff in stores in mid August.  But besides that, I have been keeping busy I guess.  I sold 8 pair of socks a while back, would love to sell more of them.  Now I have a scarf, hat, socks and mittens that I was asked to make for purchase.  Just finished the last of it tonight.
It has been cold here, but the blizzard they predicted brought only about 2 inches of snow.  I swear anyone can be a weather forecaster these days.
We did go and see Sawyer Brown and Mark Chesnutt again, so that has been fun for this month. We also got to meet Ryan Sheckler too, almost forgot

Anyway, hopefully next year will bring more joy, and finances.  Travis will be 18 in a few days, my, where has time flown to?  Here are some of the things I have made lately

New Home, New stuff made

Just was thinking I haven't posted again in a while.  I have been busy with moving and then being sick.  Went from allergies, to a cold now.

I have been trying to not start new projects till others are finished, but I have a few things in progress.  I am 80% done with a shawl in lace weight yarn, and I have done a dress, tiny pants, vest so far for Baby Riley, who is due in January for Donnie and Rikki.

We had to move, and that was a hassle, the new place costs more and I finally have a/c in Colorado.  Just in time for winter. lol

I am really missing my family, I haven't seen them in so very long.  Travis is a senior and there is alot to do with that too.  My uncle passed away, and I wasn't able to go to the funeral in California.  Apparently life is busy for everyone.

I sold my first pair of sock, and have to get them in the mail to the buyer in Maine.  I have been trying to work on things and resist the temptation of socks, but finally gave in last night and started a new pair for a test knit.

Also testing a hoodie pattern that I am making for my niece Elena.

June in Colorado

More things I have knit.  I participated in Sock Madness and now Tour de Sock on Ravelry.  It is fun, and did some sock tests in between patterns too. The sock I am currently working on for Tour de Sock, is stage 2 and it is colorwork.  I sure hope that I can get these to fit me.  Colorwork usually isn't my friend. lol  but it is a pretty pattern.  An afterthought heel.  YUCK!  But has to be done the way it is supposed to be done.
Travis, Don and I went to the Zumiez Couch Tour again this year.  Travis actually got to participate in the skate competition.  He didn't get far, but at least he tried.  It has been so hot here in Colorado.  I don't like the heat so early in the year.
I have to get Travis his senior portraits made soon.  He will be a senior in the fall.  Wow, he has grown up so fast.
Donnie, my stepson, will be getting married one day and he will have another grandchild for us in January.  I can't wait to find out the sex of the baby so I can start making stuff.  Hope all goes well with this new baby.

It sure is hot here for May.

Wow, May already.  I can't believe how this year is flying by already.  I am doing Sock Madness on Ravelry again this year and I just finished the Round 4 socks, so I have made it farther than last year.  Also been doing test socks for Free Pattern testers group on Ravelry also.

New things in Littleton

Okay, so I have a few more things I have finished now. I am working on a few more, so I am always doing something.
