Hey y'all. I have been without internet for a week or so. I have been doing some crocheting though. Let me first say that I did a second shawl with one strand of Lion Brand Wool-Ease in Dark Rose Hether. I added a little more of the pattern to make the shawl longer and trimmed it with the wine color for contrast. I liked this one better, so that is the one that I sent to Yolie for my exchange. I haven't heard whether she got it or not yet. I hope so. I also made a pretty flower and did a leaf on it out of some scraps of cotton. Trying to upload the pics from my phone now so I can post them as well. My phone isn't co-operating, so I will have to post the pictures of the shawl and flower a little later.

I also have been working on a baby blanket and finished it in two days. The pattern can be found here, but I enlarged it by just adding more rounds to the pattern.

I finished my very first Shawl.

Hey Everyone. I am happy today. Jimmie Johnson won the race and I finished my first shawl. It is from the Lion Brand site. I used Herreschner's sport weight yarn, so I did it with two strands, It is really thick. I used wine color. It is actually for an exchange that I am doing on one of the many groups I am on. I don't want to say who for in case the recipient reads my blog. Let me know what you think.

What I am doing now.

Hello. I just thought I would pop in and let you all know what I am up to. I am 2/3 rds of the way done with a Half Moon Shawl from Lionbrands Website. I am using double strands of Herreschner's yarn in a beautiful wine color. I will post a picture when it is done.

This is for an exchange that I am participating in on one of my yahoo groups. I love doing exchanges, that way I get to see all the work of others. And I also get to make some of my originals. LOL
Oh, Jimmie Johnson has the pole again this weekend, as the qualifying has been rained out again. They are in Martinsville, and last year he won this race and I have an autographed hat that I got from his foundation from this race. He is in the points lead and on his way to his third championship in a row hopefully. Go Jimmie!

Have a great weekend.

What I am working on today.

Jimmie Johnson Collage

hey Ya'll. I started this blanket last night with Bernat Chunky. The colors are bright, but I like them together. The yarn was on sale for $1.50 at Walmart, they were clearing it out.

On the Nascar front today, Jimmie is still in the point lead. Thank goodness. He had a great race, even though he should have won, he was 6th. Jeff Gordon was 8th and poor Dale Jr. He was 34th. He blew a tire and crashed into the wall, was 45 laps down.

Talk to you all soon.

Jimmie Johnson in the points lead

This is what I think of Tony Stewart. lol, he's not that bad but didn't deserve the win last week that is for sure. Regan Smith won that race, not Stewart. But Nascar gave it to Stewart because he is a more known guy and because of the sponsors on his car.
This photo was taken by Don, on my birthday at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway when Jimmie won in March 2007 This photo was taken by me at the same race.

This is his trophy belt that he won that day. This is his back to back CHAMPIONSHIP NEXTEL CUP TROPHY IN 2007

This is just to show how cute Jimmie Johnson is. LOL

I forgot to add that because qualifying was rained out for the 8th time this season, My favorite guy, Jimmie Johnson had got the pole for tonight's race in Charlotte. I sure hope that he has a great race. It would be so nice for him to get a 3-peat for the championship. He is so darn cute and does so much for Habitat for Humanity by the way thru his foundation. I will post a few great pictures of him that I have.

Adding links to blogs

Good Morning. I have been really busy saving alot of my patterns to PDF files, and so I have been kind of slow reading my emails these past few weeks. I have a great friend in Las Vegas, who has a great site, it is based on crafts and faith in God. I thought I would share it with you. Evie, you are the best. Thank you for the compliments on my blog and all the nice things you said in your blog. I agree, you must have faith in prayer and God to survive in the world today. I know I will be checking your blog more often. Here is the link to Evie's Blog

Love ya,

Bookmarks and Hearts

Flower with plastic ring. Not sure if it will be a magnet or what.
Ruffled Washcloth I made up for exchange
Hello. I am doing okay. Kind of bored at home, but I have been doing alot of little things. I will add the pictures to the slide show , or maybe just add them to the post. I hope all my friends are doing well. I have a little bit of a cold or upper respiratory infection going on, and it is starting to get cooler here in Colorado too. I am looking forward to adding more things to my blog, and I made 2 bookmarks, and need to type up the pattern to them also. Can't believe it is October already, man has this year flown by. But this is my favorite time of year when the leaves are changing to the fall colors before they fall.

My new slide show

Hello everyone. I just took a day and a half to do this slide show. The computer kept freezing on me. I hope you enjoy it. I did a new prayer cloth last night and it is in the slide show. Hope you have time to look at all the pictures, as I have been crocheting like crazy this year.

Have a great weekend! Yvette

Prayer Cloths that I am making

Just thought I would pop in and put up a few pictures of the payer cloths that I have been making. These are smaller and pocket sized. They are from a pattern by Sandie Petit on the Crochet Cabana website. I will get the URL and post it also. I have to weave the ends in and I have also been participating in a washcloth exchange and have a few pictures of that too to post. I have to find them. I will post them later.
Have a smiley day! 8-)
