New stuff i have been doing.

hi y'all. i have been bummed out as I have lost 2 friends this month. I have been crocheting to try to take the stress away. It has been so very hot here in Colorado though, so trying to stick to small stuff. I am almost finished with a round ripple, will show you the progress so far.

July 13

I started this throw and my doggie quickly adopted it. She wouldn't let me finish the border and then I couldn't do the weaving in of the ends for a while. She just wanted to sleep and fluff it up for herself. But I finally got a picture of it.

these are bookmarks. the filet heart one I used a bigger hook and #3 thread for, the small blue one is peaches and cream.

I figured that I better get on and make a post since it has been a month and a half. I have made a few things and some I forgot to take pictures of. some I still need to take pictures of. I hope that all is well with all of you. I am bummed out as this last week was the birthday of my grand daughter that passed away. I also have a few friends that I am constantly praying for. One is going to be with God soon. I miss her and chatting with her already. She is such a sweet woman. Always there to give help when she could. She has a very serious blood infection and they are expected to unplug the ventilator soon. Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers. Her name is Debbie McMahen. I will always remember her. i will post a few pics of some other things that I have taken pictures of.

Well, I have the blanket finished and also a matching pillow. I have several pictures, so I will be posting them. all. I also have posted it on my Facebook account. My niece has already seen what it looks like there. I hope to make more of these in the future. Wasn't too hard, just alot of counting. I think it came out great. I know that she will keep warm. It didn't take me long to make either.

Progress on Blanket

Here is some more progress. I am using a pattern from Crochet Cabana, but modifying it a bit to make it my own. Instead of doing squares I am doing it all in one piece. I also did all ribbons across the blanket as the bottom with the solid part looks lonely. So, I will do the rest of the blanket this way I think. I just don't want to rip out all the first row. This way I think looks better. Plus it will be warm at the feet because of the solid squares. I hope my sister likes it for my niece.
